Rokid is betting that the future of AR doesn’t look like a headset at all. Teasers of the upcoming Rokid Glasses look like a simple pair of glasses, light enough to wear all day, smart enough to replace your tablet, and priced low enough that regular consumers might buy them.
Rokid just launched its new Rokid AR Spatial. Priced at $648 and weighing just 75 grams, this Spatial Computing bundle undercuts Apple’s Vision Pro (which starts at $3,499) by a wide margin, both in size and cost. And yet, it delivers on many of the same promises: immersive media, multitasking, and spatial interaction, minus the bulk and friction.
In a strategic push to reach global users, Rokid is launching the AR Spatial through AliExpress, Alibaba’s cross-border e-commerce platform, during the 618 Global Shopping Festival. As part of the platform’s “BigSave” program, Rokid offers a limited-time launch discount of nearly $100, bringing the price down to $568 USD. The launch also coincides with the opening of Rokid’s official flagship store on AliExpress, marking a milestone as the company joins other major Chinese tech exporters like Anker, Unitree, Pop Mart, and Lenovo in leveraging the platform’s global reach and brand support initiatives.
“AliExpress is currently the most brand-friendly cross-border platform,” said Zoro Shao, Global General Manager at Rokid. “We see growing demand for AR glasses on the platform, and its global coverage makes it an ideal partner to strengthen our international presence.” Rokid previously saw 600% year-over-year overseas revenue growth in Q1 2025 through third-party sales on AliExpress, making the move to a direct store and dedicated campaign a natural next step.
Rokid isn’t a newcomer. Founded in 2014, the company has shipped over half a million devices across 100+ countries, building a solid foundation in industrial and consumer AR. The AR Spatial mark marks a move toward a more mainstream audience that wants useful technology without much of a learning curve or dramatic lifestyle change.
The glasses feature Sony micro-OLED displays that project a virtual screen up to 300 inches, support 3D video playback, and run at a 90Hz refresh rate. That alone makes it ideal for private binge-watching, gaming, or catching up on email in a small space. The AR Spatial supports multi-window multitasking (up to three apps running simultaneously), GMS compatibility, and native support for Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and Prime Video.
Gaming is also part of the package. With Steam Link, PS Remote Play, and Moonlight support, users can directly stream their favorite titles from PCs and consoles into their AR environment.
A most overlooked but impactful feature is built-in diopter and pupillary distance adjustment (0 to -6.00D). That means users with mild to moderate myopia can wear the AR Spatial without additional lenses or adapters. It’s a simple feature, but it dramatically reduces the friction of use and opens the product to a broader audience.
The companion Station 2 unit powers the experience and runs a proprietary Android-based spatial computing OS. It supports charging while in use and stabilizes visuals while in motion with features like “Sport Mode.” In testing, performance was smooth, battery life was practical, and the system was surprisingly quiet.
That approach is paying off. The company’s appearance at CES and recent design award at Milan Design Week signal a growing international profile. Rokid may not be a huge household name yet, but if AR goes mainstream, it will need devices like this: affordable, wearable, and ready to use out of the box.
